Doesn't really help much but when I was 15 I sold block paved driveways.

The night (after school) I started it was dark outside. My mates explained in the van on the way there what to do/say etc and the guy running it was giving me all the sale speak. So they pulled up at the end of a big driveway and I walked all the way up to the door an rang the bell.

John Barnes answered :| so I mumbled through the sales speech and he was smiling the whole time. When I finished he flicked a switch and the whole driveway lit up showing a bran new block paved driveway  he and the lads in the van all pissed themselves laughing and John said they do it to all the new lads :)

£3500 sounds about right! Just make sure they do it properley.

Talk to me...

Got about 53 square metres of driveway I want doing and have been quoted £3500 all in. This is for Woburn rumbled block paving so not the standard sharp edged red bricks.

Does this sound decent? It is from a chap who has done a fair amount of work on mum and dads house, just not sure if the quote is reasonable as never paid for driveway before.

How much have others paid?
