Mum has a memory foam mattress which i slept on while she was away once and it was the best nights sleep i'd ever had! Expensive though :(

Had a £800 memory foam mattress with the ex, was amazing. Took a couple of days to get used to but was the best.

Thank you for the replies. Think I'll start looking at prices. Really do struggle to sleep without waking up. Know a lot of it is due to stress but I'm confident a better matress will help.

I've got an NHS spec one, brilliant.

I had a lie on the ones at Ikea, and found the most expensive, memory foam type ones, to be really claustrophobic, and I didn't like it at all, I fidget and i'm a light sleeper.

We settled on a harder foam one, which was a bit cheaper, but will hopefully be good (not bought it yet) Got a normal matress at the moment and I can feel every single spring on my side, it's horrible, so i'd recommend going foam if you can.

Also, try them at Ikea and see what you like the best.

you talking about a memory foam mattress? I've got a Reylon, was around the £1000 mark for a double when i got it (about 4/5years ago), but it's probably the best thing i've ever slept on (not that i really struggle to sleep). Numerous people that have crashed have said the same and i certainly would opt for one again.

Maybe its down to personal preference

I've got a £500 and its awful! Not comfy at all, my mum bought it for her bad back and it made her worse so she swapped it for my mattress and I would have mine back anyday, but would rather keep it than take that one back off my mum! Waste of money!
