the wall above the stairs used to go stright up (the old wall I am knocking down)

I extended the wall above the stairs and put a slop on it (this is the new plasterboard wall you can see)

I then went back and knocked the old wall out. It was a wasted void when both walls were up, yes

so was that just a wasted void before?
seems a bit of a waste. Nice that you can open it back up and reclaim the space.

do you get your boards and timbers delivered or do you have a truck/van to collect materials in?

easiest room of the house I thought!! wrong!!!

as it was in 2007 when i bought house:

8 foot bloody planeand enless junk

cleaning it out in 2009 after it was used for storing wood and bits:

built the wall up above the stairs and knocked the false old wall out to give me a lot more room. Putting a desk over the slop

new ceiling as per norm

all gone

u can see the old paper on the landing
