We had CCTV in our back garden - problems with the neighbours. It wasnt connected up, but was pointing at there property. The cops arrived and made us move it. Even though it wasn't connected they said it was an offence as we were putting our neighbours in 'a state of fear and alarm' by having it pointing at there house - therefore they could charge us with a Breach of the Peace :

The web interface of one of the cameras, I got good cameras but a cheap capture card, the reason it was cheap is because of the extremely bad software, it does the job though.

I've got a couple connected to a server in my loft (that was 100% required, wasn't anything to do with me also being able to leave it on downloading torrents :o ) and sent round to all the tv's in the house, different cameras on different channels.

We have CCTV after one of our cars was fucked over a couple of times, thats just a single camera system and cost a few hundred to have it all pro fitted. Have also installed it in one of our womenswear shops as were having a few items stolen - this one is a 4 camera wireless system, I bought and installed all this for a few hundred.

if you're doing nothing wrong it doesn't matter if you have CCTV on your property. ;)

If you desperatly want CCTV then im not sure, if you just want the threat of CCTV you can get fake cameras that have an LED powered by a battery, some of them even move I think
