to be fair most of the actual fitting was good. It was the surveyor guy that let us down. He ws supposed to cheque evrything out details on the pipe work and all that.
The fitter turned up with no idea what he was doing.

Anyway the boiler meant there was no need for a cold water tank in the atic to feed the bathroom and shower so the pipe work from the tank was cut out. The cold pipe from the shower to the tank was left in place so while having a shower hot water went straight across the shower mixer tap into the cold water pipe up into the atic filling up the tank which drained onto the celling. So that was parlty the fitters fault.

We have with held £500 so see what they say

 you got British Gas to move a boiler for you, I wont ask how much they charged

We once priced a heating up and came with a figure of around £2700 ( and we were making a fair bit on that cause we didnt want to do it really :P ) and the owners said " my gosh thats cheap, British Gas have just quoted us................

TBH claim for everything that's damaged, your within your rights to do that as eithe way it's not been fitted correctly.

But be nice about it, being arsey just makes it awkwards.

Don't be an arse it will get you no where, depending if they admit fault to what you will be able to claim for!

If they admit their fault, claim for everything possible, your old mans office, being out of action? cause him loss of earnings?

Just had a new boiler put in moved from downstairs to uptatairs with a new fancy combi boiler. Then tonight with having a shower water started pouring out of the celling straght through downstairs and into my dads computer office through the lights.
Had to jump out of the shower and turn off electrics and water

Emergency engineer has been round capped a few pipes and turned everything back bar the light circuit.

Now what can we claim and what shall I be like with the fitting engineer tomorrow.
