you will get an agreement in principle from the lenders underwriters

They will then instruct 3rd partys which will be legals and valuation

When the lender is happy everything is in place they will move to offer stage which is usually valid for 3 months

Once they get the signed offer back they will look to get a completion date which is where your solicitor comes in.

Then final checks are made and the funds are released and you get your keys

Good luck

So, My offer has been accepted on a house today. Whats the process of buying a house? I have a rough idea but need clarity.

I saw an IFA a while ago so I knew how much i could offer. I know I will have to see him again to have the mortgage in writing/agreed. What else do i need to do?

The estate agent said he would ring tomorrow to ask for my solicitors name, which I dont have as i was going to use the one they recommend, but what sort of money am I looking at for the service? (just so I can make sure I'm not being taken for a ride)

Thanks. Any advice welcome!! :)
