Cycling isn't a real sport anyway. Bunch of druggies in lycra.

I don't know how anybody is questioning Wiggo becoming a sir! Some are debatable, but not this one.

Not only that but Wiggins has had success consistently throughout his career both on the track and the road. Its just this year he has become better known to those outside of cycling circles due to winning TDF.

Scholes is more worthy tbh, just for playing football and keeping his head down.

I kind of agree with knighting Bradders. The Tour De France is quite some achievement, and then to win at the Olympics too. May not ever happen again.

Yep, agree with John. Not taking away his achievements but a knighthood for sport should be restricted to those who have dominated a sport for a generation/career and broke new ground.

I don't think they should be awarding them to those that have just started in the sport, fairly young and only got the first gold. These should be elite sports people with years of effort

And half the medal winners given some sort of BE, whilst half of them told to get stuffed. Andy 'hapiness' Murray given an MBE (i think) Louis Smith given something, but the Brownlees ignored. Very strange.
