[/quote] Yeah, best to take a few months off the deadlifts if it's done your back in. It is most likely poor form that has caused your issue. I used to have terrible form on deads and relied far too much on my lower back for both the first and last portions on the lift. Now I start the lift with my arse at a much lower depth and use leg drive to get the momentum going and keep my head up right as much as possible. Keeping your head up helps to keep your back straight throughout the movement. [/quote]
