he pops to much in this image, do you have a B&W edit to show us?

I am also drawn away from him by the defined line within the water. It's a little distracting, I'm questioning why or what's causing that within the scene.

its not exactly meant to be a true depiction of reality. hes desaturated cus i quite like that look and yes infinity pool

Why is he so desaturated compared to the background?

The studio lighting is never going to blend well with sunny outdoors, but I think the high contrast you went for on the model makes it more pronounced.

Not sure what's going on with the water in the background. Inifinity pool?

everyone is entitled to an opinion, doesnt mean they are always right, also i could sit and look at loads of campaigns in vogue or whatnot and tell people how the lighting is wrong or that its shot on a different background.

It doesn't take a genius to tell when it is. also once you know something is not 'real' your brain can work out the flaws.. hes just pointing out the obvious like a bit of a simpleton would do so i take no offence its just not very useful or helpful which means hes just doing it for effect and response i guess....

He brings a whole new meaning to the term "Honest John's" doesn't he Will

It looks like it's a cut-out of a guy placed onto a background (which I know it is, but that's exactly what it looks like)

Whatever detail there is in the leg, it wouldn't look like that if he was standing beside that pool, so it's too dark.

Lighting is all wrong, left leg looks like it's just black (not skin black, just black)

care to explain your comment? and its not black, i have various monitors all calibrated and there is certainly detail there in the leg. the light would be coming from just behind and to the side of his right arm so not much light would be on that leg anyway

did a shoot this week using a chroma key background and recorded the edit process, thought it might interest some of you? have quite a few images from this shoot - fashion and some sports stuff too, so will upload them once complete
