Create another new layer, set the brush size to about 4/5 (with the fluffy edge) . Set colour to white
Select the pen tool [p], and click to draw over a destinctive feature. Then right click and select stroke path. select brush from the drop down then ok.

Keep repeating for all the destinctive features.

Stimulate pressure for lines that don't close up.

Hope that makes sense

right im starting to undertand this now. The bits in bold are the bits im not understanding. bare with me :)

How the chuff do i select the shape of the car. Is that using the magic wand?

I undertand the bit about the brush thing now, but whenever i draw lines and then colour them in whatever colour. the pen line in the middle still remains. How do i get round this?

^^ sorry, still a bit jaggedy.

Basically just using the pen tool. (press P)
And a brush size of 4.

Using the pen tool, click to draw your path, then right click and select 'Stroke Path'

Use paths, or in Photoshop use the polygon selection tool where you carefully click all round the edge one point at time :)

I just did this quickly to show you, and iv never done this before either so its new to me lol.All i did was lasso the areas and fill them in with block colours.

Use paths mate, then stroke over them. That way you dont have to have an uber steady hand.

New layer, draw over by hand the rough outline you want.

I would bet that the image you've posted there was drawn freehand or on a tablet.

The finished article has to be kept at a high res too :)
