heh, boot a win98 startup disk, get access to the hard drive/partition in question in DOS, start deleting key directories and files, such as C:\WINDOWS (if win98 etc), Program Files (not sure if you can reuse the programs but I'm sure you'd have to reinstall them anyway so its all in the registry or something), Best bet is to check microsofts support website and search for 'uninstalling Windows 98' or whatever OS you got on there, they should then list other key files tha will lay around the root of the hard drive.

OR move files somewhere secure and safe, format and reinstall

I had to 'delete' Windows 2000 Professional off a machine the other day cause it had 25gb of music that I didnt want to re-transfer back onto it :)

always do a clean install. never attempt anything else. unless its not ur pc :P

u can't create partitions if ur using the entire disk for ur current partition.

You wanna get another drive + hook it up, transfer all ur porn n mp3s to that drive.. oops i mean ur 'data files'.

but, big problem there, if the entire drive was initially created as one partition, im pretty sure u cant seperate it using windows or dos, ud need something like partition magic

greycorsa

create partition, move all files to the partition drive, and format the other part of the HD with just windows on it. problem solved.
