Large in Japan, they have massive bilboards with the 3d barcodes on so people can scan them as they go past on trains etc | |

There is one built into windows phone 7, click on the search button and click on the vision icon and you can scan for QR Codes and Microsoft Tags. | |

I actually think that the latest Windows stuff is done using Silverlight - no idea what the scripting language is for that though. | |

For these things to take off, phone manufacturers need to include the QR Code reader in their camera app. Can you imagine explaining to your Mum how all this stuff works? | |

Need to download an app on most phones these days I think? Only phone I remember having one built in was my n95. Not 100% though | |

Those 2D bar code things, look like a grid of random pixels, you can point your phone at them and they'll take you to a web address, right? |
