What pisses me off about Linux is that simple things are just not simple

Unity sucks balls, Gnome 3 is better but still not great ATM (still in development), you want Gnome 2 IMO... Linux mint / Ubuntu 10.10 are both Gnome 2.

Did you use Gnome or Unity when you had Ubuntu?

I'm on 11 still...

Are you using the latest version?

If so, how do you change the main program icons in Menu? It's got Firefox on there but I'm using Chrome and want that on there instead, can't seem to work out how to change it?

Been using Linux Mint since 4.0.

Love it.

Using this just now on my Acer netbook, seems OK. I did originally put Ubuntu 11.10 or whatever the latest version is, and that seemed very slow in comparison (although I'm pretty sure LM is based on Ubuntu?)... Anybody else use some flavour of Linux on their netbooks?

I've got this dual booting with the XP that came pre-installed on it, which is nice.
