I've got a 2nd generation (so older and heavier) 42" plasma up on a plasterboard wall at mine just using the big plasterboard fixings like these ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-Hollow-Wall-Anchors-Plasterboard-Fixings-M4-x-33mm_W0QQitemZ170336431181QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ?hash=item27a8d7ac4d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1686%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50 ) When the bracket was up on the wall it supported all of my weight no problems...

quote: Thats ok then, you'll need to find out where your studs are and their distance apart, you can either do this with a stud detector or use a small thin screw driver along the very top of the skirting board, just keep poking it in until it hits wood along the top of the board, that way you'll know where your uprights are. you can just calk over the top to cover the holes afterwards. Stud spacing should be about 600mm but can vary. Use some chunky screws into the timber uprights (3" 10s) and use a couple of dry-line fixings in the plasterboard just to stop any flexing/gaps.

Flat bracket would be ideal, its a timber stud wall.
