if your dvd player will play divx ect just burn the dvd as a data file with your downloaded movie, in the format mentioned.

if you want it to play on any dvd player download nero premium edition and use the "vision" program it will convert most video files into dvd format, all very easy yo use also.

avi will play in Divx supported players

use Nero, it will convert and burn it to the necessary format needed

iirc, they recommend DVD+R for burning movies....

edit: mpeg 2 video formats...

no, .heffa or .solitaire. either work on most dvd players

What format do i need to burn movies on to a disk to play in dvd players?

Is it avi?

I know it should be in geek day.
