like mooney says you will need a subscription for sky+ as it gives you two LNBs (recievers) running off one dish so you can record/watch or record 2 different channels

as long as you have a premium package of some sort (sports or movies) you wont have to pay the extra £10 per month. we have the standard sky package with movies on top and it costs £30 per month and that includes the sky+ service.

and th standard box (80gig i think) holds around 40hours of tv and mine is never filled even when i record stuff when im on holiday

then you can also have another box in another room for £10 per month. perfect for the bedroom ;)

you need a sky plus subscription to get it to work, they have to activate the account
has the old sky dish got 2 wires running into the house?cos sky+ needs 2
if you have all the channels you dont have to pay the extra 10 a month,
my sky plus will hold about 40 hours of tv,thats more than enough imo

Want to get this, haven't got sky at all at the moment but whoever was here before has a dish.
Anyway been looking into Sky + and its 99quid for the box and 10quid sky plus subscription before you even think of sky subscribtion. Does anyone know if the sky plus subscription is need for sky plus to work? i was thinking of getting a sky plus box for cheap off ebay with a bigger HD in it, seen some 160GB ones think the normal ones come with 40GB don't they?
