if you already have an s-video lead, just use an adaptor...

5/6 years old and im guessing it will do, even if it doesnt have a dedicated s video socket. Check the manual though Doug. You could always get a converter although pic quality wont be amazing

Just seen this on one of the adverts...

Note - To avoid getting a monochrome (Black & White) only picture; your TV must support S-Video to Scart. Please check your TV handbook or settings to ensure it complies. Your PC must also have a TV-out 4-Pin or 7-Pin Mini Din Socket or suitable adaptor which may have been supplied with your graphics card.

Your TV may not automatically accept the s-video input and you may need to adjust the configuration in setup, please check your TV handbook.

So it probably wont work on mine as my telly is a good 5/6 years old

Does it make any difference if I get a 4 or 7 pin one?

My laptop has a female 7 pin connection

My laptop has an S-Video output so i was wondering if a S-Video to scart lead would enable me to plug my laptop into my normall TV?

Or does the TV need to have a special s-video feature?
