I figure out what I think is the best way anyway.

For future reference if anyone has a similar problem,

An unique key is created on the first run of the PDA/Tablet software.

This then is stored on the main database on a sever or desktop.

when the files are downloaded in xml format to the portable devices an encrypted list of the unique keys as produced

Upon opening the portable software it checked the license key to the xml list.

I have created several pieces of software and need them to be licensed, on the desktop version this is done via a database.

But I have built tablet and pda versions that use xml files from the database so have no way of checking the license keys any ideas on how best to do this


They are created in .net by the way
