i have an advent on, similar spec to vibrios acer on, cost me 350 quid. does all the things i need it to, i wouldnt pay more just for the brand name

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem with Dell laptops but the ones at work (three diffrent models) have dodgy power supplys that won't charge the battery after a while. Change the power supply and they charge. Nice tidy systems apart from that.

buy name....PC are like that these days...just don't buy laptops because they are cheap...better get value for your money and buy Dell

aldi had an amazing laptop in the paper the other day amazing spec, a median one top notch was about £699 though, but when i looked there was no were that would give you a higher spec than that, probs sold out now though they sel pretty fast when they get em in, pop down to an aldi store if you have one close might get a bargain.

I've got an acer. 1.6 pentium M, 512MB ram 40gig HDD. if your not using it for anything other that what you were doing before then any new laptop is going to be better surely. places like Dell offer good deals but you have no person near by for back up and they don't always have the best deals for spec either

dell...I definitely recommend dell....Have 3 laptops from dell and never ever had any problems...and they are definitely good specs...

im looking for a laptop as my cd drive decided to fuck up again and im sick of the thing. plus my 13 year old laptop that i use for ecu diagnostics and mapping broke a few weeks back ( I got angry and stamped on it when it lost the map out of my ecu meaning another trip to noble motorsport for a re-map:mad: )
