It's likely the laptop can't play that type of DVD.
If it works in the PS2, chances are it's been finalised, but I'd try that just incase.

Hiya mate. I had a similarnproblem when I recorded a programme then tried to play it on my brothers dvd player and it wouldn't. Turns out I'd not finalised the disk on the recorders editing function. Didmthat and it played fine.
Have a look in the recorders manual ;)

Not sure to be honest. Not too clued up on this stuff.

I recorded it on to a re-writable DVD if that helps.

I bought a recordable DVD and recorded something today.

However, it won't play on my laptop.

Anyone know why? Says something about not being able to format.

Any way I can overcome this problem?

Thanks.
