Try This Link, and Download the Home or Pro Floppy Boot (6 Floppy Disks Reqd!) Think it should work. :thumbs: | |

you want a 95/98 boot disk really...just format and fdisk or is it the other way round :P yeah well whatever | |

right, Ive got to the A:/ bit, but when I type FORMAT C:, it says bad file name? Is that the right command? | |

Boot up the machine, after XP has loaded put a floppy in the drive, then go to My Computer>Right click the floppy drive>Select format>Select "Create MS-DOS Startup Disk" | |

If you stick the XP disc in and reboot, and boot from your CD-Rom you should get the options to reformat and install a fresh copy of XP. | |

gotta get into command prompt for that. do you have a boot floppy disk or summat? if not there is a way doing it off the XP CD | |

on mine i got a separate disc that you chuck in before boot up and it asks if you want to format disc and re install | |

I want to format the comp, but it wont let get onto the prompt screen to Format:C/ on XP. So I want to unistall XP then format. |
