oil coming through the breather system woudl show up in manifold. what 3 sylinders. the first 3 closest to the breather or random 3

the oil breathing system is ok, as the blockage was caused by the idle regulator valve, i have spoken to the garage, and pulling it apart the car has oil in 3 of the 6 cylinders and oil in the inlet manifold, it's basically sucking it up into the inlet manifold and pumping through the engine out the exhaust
any clues?

well if you can find out where the oil os coming from then you'll find your problem :p

where is it sucking oil from?

They have replaced the valve and said it has stopped the actual sucking noise it was doing before and is closed when should be etc.. so they think it's something else, as it is fixed when car is running just when it turns off, i see what your saying tho.
any other suggestions vibrio?

asked this on bm forum but thought i ask on here aswell see if anyone can help...

"Right the engines been having problems as Si asked some q's, now i thought it was gasket as me girls dad said it was when he looked at it, now the mechanics i took it to looked at it and thought it a stuck thermostat and the bleed screw was damaged so they replaced that and the thermostat, solved the water coming out of exhaust, and not overheating / boiling now, took it out smoke still so bring it back inand find it a idle regulator valve is opening when it should close and vise versa.. so they fix that as it was sucking up oil and chucking through engine, seemed fine, then they turn off and it's sucking up the oil when the engine is turned off and so when start up it's burning the oil off but then clears but same happens everytime it's turned off. they are stumped and keeping it in to look at it further, does anyone have any clues on the problem i can advise them?

all help appreciated with my sick bmw :(

Matt"

any one know ?
