Originally posted by Red_SXi As some of you know i had an accident in my car in June, both left wheels were pushed under the car, it was all mechanical damage. I got my Car repaired at a local Vauxhall dealership, and my Dad paid for the repair as we didn't want to affect insurance, and we also get discount off parts. Since the car has been repaired it has been back once because the mechanic who repaired it failed to spot the brake disk was badly bent, which meant as soon as i picked the car up i had brake juddering. Ever since then the car has been find until today.............. I'm driving through my local industrial estate, not driving like a nutter at all, nice and sensible. I overtook a Nova Saloon (as you do) and i went into a roundabout, as i hit the roundabout my car was making terrible noises from the back left wheel, i drove up the road at 20MPH and the noise it was making was terrible. I rang my Dad up and he came to have a look at it seemed the niose was coming from the damper, so i drove it slowly do the dealership that repaired my car after its accident. It turns out the problem was that the bolt had come out of the bottom of the damper   It was making this noise because then i was going over bumps the damper wasn't connected to the chassis and was hitting the point where it should be bolted in. The mechanic at the garage told me that driving it was very dodgy as the spring could have popped out at any time, and the damper could have also popped out, he also admitted the reason it has done this is because it was not put back together properly when it was repaired. I am absaloutley fuming as i have just driven to Newquay and back (about 700 miles) with 4 people in my car and my boot full of luggage, if the bolt had of come out on the motorway at 80Mph i would most probably be dead now. I would like to know what i should do? Contact Vauxhall customer care? Thanks guys
