Just Googled EMR and there is one not far away. I will take them down there to see what they say. Hopefully condition is still good enough to be worth something.

Cheers jake I can always hold onto them as they have been stored for over 8 years so far

If they are genuine ep3 cats, before covid they were going for at least 500 each and selling very quickly. I would hang on a bit because scrap prices aren't the best atm, that listing will be up for a while at those prices

You got an EMR local?

Smaller scrappys are a bit less honest, EMR have an app and if the guy will show you it you can see the price on there meaning you're less likely to be quoted whatever random low price the guy thinks you'll be happy with.

Ideally need the code, few on eBay also N43 but I couldn't find that in the app that I have.

Worth ebaying them rather then a local scrappy?
Although as unsure of the condition maybe somewhere where they can inspect them in person would be better

Few single ones going for about half that so yeah, looks like it.

No result for that N43 number.

Aftermarket not worth a carrot as scrap, get a lot more as an actual cat particularly if its universal inline type.

Grubby mesh is OK, normally only discounted if its damaged with bits missing.

N43 038088 I can see on one of them.
x2 are from EP3 civic type R OEM fit ones. The other is just a little after market sports cat so probably not worth as much.

Is there an easy was to get an idea of what the inside is like? Looking in the mesh does look at bit grubby :o

Post the part numbers.

Corrosion on the outside isn't a worry so long as the insides are OK.

Assume there are a few people on here in the know.

Tidying up the garage last weekend weekend and found a few catalytic converters from old cars that I no longer own. Now I know they are usually worth some money for scrap. What is the best way to get a price? Just take them down the local scrap yard or best to go somewhere specialist?

Also a couple of them have got wet where they have been stored and look a bit corroded, does this have a bearing on if they are still worth anything?

Thanks :)
