At the risk of sounding stupid, I have a few questions about claiming for a new windscreen via your insurance.

Do you simply phone your insurance company, tell them it's cracked then they source a screen and fitter for you once you've paid your screen excess?
Does it affect your NCB?
Has anyone's premium gone up the subsequent year due to claiming for a screen?

Yes.
No.
No.

Doesn't affect NCB and doesn't affect premium, at least in my experience.
