An engine needs fuel, spark and compression to run, you've got all of these so somewhere there's an issue with one of them. Is the spark strong enough. Could be a faulty ignition? After that, I'm at a loss.

yes loads at the rail

see where you say it doesn't offer to start, do you mean it won't crank over or it spins just won't fire up?

Rigby

It will always be cold when I start it

Tiger

Starting your car at or near to its full operating temperature.

Haha I won't mate, what are hot start issues, I never let it get hot

Tiger

Hot start issues are normally crank or cam sensor issues I've found. I'd be looking at ruling those out first, just don't come beating my door down if it doesn't fix it

I read something about hot under bonnet temps can potentially evaporate fuel from fuel lines near inlets but I think it's far fetched.

I'd check your timing too whilst your swapping sensors.

Could it be any other reason why this happening? Or do you reckon it will be just them two

Rigby

How would you change that? And do you reckon that why my car is doing what it's doing? How much does it cost aswell mate?

Tiger

At a guess you'd have to unbolt the assembly and it'll be inside the dizzy housing. It could be contributing to your car not starting but it could be other things also. It's a starting point though if you say you've done your crank sensor.

I'd hazard a guess that they are around the £30 mark..

I think it's the attached to the black plug to the front of the dizzy.

Rigby

You got a picture of what they look like mate

Tiger

posted on 6th Jun 16 at 19:37

It's a small black plastic box sticking up out of the metal dizzy housing.

Rigby

where abouts in the engine its a dizzy?

Tiger

posted on 6th Jun 16 at 19:13

Tells the ECU what position the pistons are in and the camshaft speed.

Rigby

posted on 6th Jun 16 at 19:05

its got a new crank sensor and whats the cam sensor?

Tiger

posted on 6th Jun 16 at 17:52

Cam or Crank position sensor at a guess.
