If you don't understand leasing then that's fine but saying "they'll be pedestrians again" and "they'll have spunked a load of cash down the drain wit nowt to show" is just complete balls  Granted leasing isn't for everyone and you can buy an old second-hand car for what a lease will cost however, if you want hassle free motoring with a new car then leasing tends to be the better option when you consider the depreciated of purchasing that same vehicle outright.
:P;):D Of course Dom. For some people it's fine. Ideal even. Especially if you're just going to keep renewing indefinitely and it's instead of buying the exact same car that you would have purchased, plus if the sums make sense pro rata to rent instead of buy, when considering depreciation etc. For my situation though, it would not work. If you're not in a stable job market for example, then a cheap car that you own outright is a better bet than essentially hiring one every month, because if you can no longer make the lease payments, then you are obviously no longer entitled to keep the car and you would be left effectively transport-less. And what I said about spunking money is essentially not balls, as, in the simplest of terms one would be investing a sizeable chunk of money (that could be better used elsewhere) on something which you would have no entitlement of ownership to. Am I correct in thinking that you have to put down a sizeable deposit in respect to these lease agreements btw?
