Website is working for me now, had a look at my nearest place and it's literally a couple of hundred yards down the road. Out of curiosity I may pop in at some point to talk to them about it.

Reading that it can also be used to clean DPFs instead of having to pay ridiculous amounts for new ones.

Nibnob - I too couldn't find anything bad about it apart from the sceptics.

I don't understand why carbon would cause poor MPG though - I understand build ups may clog routes but is it really that detrimental to the performance?

Yes my mate does it at his garage. Charges decent price too.

Been reading into this a bit and I'm struggling to find anyone who's had personal experience with it saying anything negative. That includes customers and experienced mechanics.

Here are some dyno results from various cars that show fairly impressive results.

Hydrocarbon emissions are meant to be dramatically reduced too.

On a side, is their website not working for other people, or is it just me?

From what I saw on Wheeler Dealers it seemed to do what it was supposed to, more so than in tank cleaners.

Whether or not it's actually making any real difference is another debate though.

Respected motoring journalist and TV presenter Quentin Willson reported a 14% improvement in MPG in his Sunday Mirror column.

If Mr Sell-out himself recommends it then its got to be good

Anything that uses the phrase "Restores MPG" might as well wave a flag saying "This product its total bullshit".

looks like a gimmick to me

Garage up the road does it. Charges about £100 I think. Was up last week and he was doing a diesel Range Rover. Before and at the start if doing it it was belting out reek. By the time it was finished it was reek free. The secondary fuel pump fucked up by the end of it too though but he fixed that out his own picket.

I run a petrol, 100 miles a day mon - fri which does another 100 miles over the weekend. Almost hit 70k and the door hinge has gone on the drivers side, heating control and needs a new tyre. All in the past week! Just had a new windscreen and battery in the last month.

The fuck has that got to do with terracleaning?

Don't worry about servicing your engines lads, its them door hinges you need to look out for.

I used it on my leon and later found out it was pointless in a TFSI engine. Waste of £120.

Read a couple more posts on E46zone from derv owners, who say they saw like a 10% MPG increase and it only cost them £85. if its as cheap as that it might be worth it, just a bit wary incase you'd upset anything inside your fuel system. ie wtf is it they pump through the fuel rail and into the chambers for 45mins? :o

Personally I think it's a load of toss

I've also got a diesel hence wondering if it would need a clear out. I had to question though because I've not heard of anything like this before.

I run the car up the motorways on a 25 mile e/w journey mon-fri so surely this can not be caked in shit.

Probably cost less to just lob loads of injector cleaner and engine cleaner forte products in the fuel tank run a bit of a forte shit mix for a few hundred miles lol

Yeah tom, it just cleans out all the innards.

Probably a lot more essential on Diesels.

The mate in question has a 1.9cdti 150 zafira and the egr always gets caked in soot. So much so, that he cleans it out in work quite often. Probably ideal for something like that.

Wrighty

Saw this and did a bit of googling a while ago, with me having a 330D @ 70k there could be a good build up of sh!t from the egr etc but people were saying they didnt see a difference in MPG or anything so gave it a miss.

Seen this going on at a track day last weekend cars plugged into a machine smoking like fuck as they burnt off all the shit, they connect it to the fuel lines surely it's just like putting a shit load of forte in your tank

Edd China asvertises it.

My mate asked for a quote and it was something like 300 quid all in for a full treatment.

Expensive really.

Anyone heard of or even used the service of Terraclean?

Reading a little about them, it cleans up the carbon residue. is it worth it?
