wet foot wells can be time consuming to fix but cheep if you do it your self. just look out for play in the steering, they have EPAS and the motors can fail also. ive got a spare rack and motor here if you need one.

Cheers for the replies lads, definitely got to keep my eyes out for the footwell issues as they seem to be very common!

Also a few friends with C's have had there steering racks changed, what are the symptoms I should look for?

Apart from these they seem like pretty decent little motors :)

I can't wait to get my hands on another corsa, miss mine like crazy :(

water in the front footwells, crank shaft and oxygen sensors

As stated. Wet footwells, I've just done my mates combo this morning. Drivers side leaks under brake servo. Passenger side under battery tray.

Drop links are always shit but cheap fix.

Gear linkages, they get replaced with a metal one now which are quite pricey. About £70iirc.

Check it has genuine Hagus SRi mirrors.

make sure depending on mileage the cambelt has been changed, standard stuff

make sure the gearlinkage has been changed aswell as they are made of chocolate on the C, plastic parts on them wear out then you cant get it into gear

Wet footwells - common issue is the seal around the bung in passenger footwell, drivers footwell wet may be heater matrix

Headgasket - vauxhalls famous really well made head gaskets :/

Then just usual wear and tear really!

Alright fella's

Might be going to view a Corsa C SRI 1.8 over the weekend and just wondering what the known problems and things to look for are? I've only ever had B's so not clued up on the newer models

Any help would be great
Cheers
