Spec of mine John

Seat Ibiza FR mk4 1.9tdi 175bhp

Where to start I bought this new in 2007 and it's been an absolute cracking car
It's only covered 70,000 miles and has full service history

From the factory it came with quite a good spec

RARE kandy white FR
Cupra rear bumper
Facelift front bumper
Rear opening windows
Electric windows
Electric folding and heated door mirrors
Cruise control
Über rare factory xenons with headlight washers
17" FR wheels with Pirelli tyres

Side and curtain airbags
Steering wheel controls

Traction control
Full climate control
Trip computer
Seat sport strutbrace
This car will do 55mpg+ (I've personally had it at 80mpg on a long drive)
Garret turbo upgrade
Egr delete
Dewipered
Cupra mirror covers
Tinted windows
Pd160 intake*
Colour coded side mouldings
Debadged apart from FR badge

Looked on autotrader there's a 57 plate red one at 5.6k mine has more options including factory xenons has a garret turbo upgrade, egr delete pd160 intake seat sport strut brace and a stage 1 map so I think putting mine up at 6750 isn't too bad, id take 6250 for it, well looked after fsh and a fresh ticket on it with fresh tax new tyres brakes and comes with a spare engine for someone to do a big build if they wish or sell it on at profit (these are bought for upto 800/900 alone.

Mine had about 30k miles.

Autotrader seems to agree as well, 4.5k would be good going.

You can get new shape sports for 6.5k.

That's what the lads on scn said it was worth as its a desirable colour and spec so I don't know it's got 70k motorway miles fresh 12 month mot and tax and been sold with a full tank of fuel

I've got a 2004 TDi FR which is the model down and I love it. Fantastic little car. £2500 is a right bargain for a Cupra!

I bought a low mileage fr tdi from a dealer 2 or 3 years ago now for 6500.

I had a 2007 Cupra TDI, loved it. Was pretty damn fast, looked good. Sounded great (for a diesel) with a fill milltek exhaust. I'd have another!

I had the 54 plate petrol cupra going back a few years and had no mechanical problems that I can remember in the years ownership. Was only a few years old at the time though. Ride was very firm, but it was a fun little car.

£2500 full mot/tax

Aslong as the engines are strong and its not mechanically gunna fall to bits then im no too fussed about much esr since it litterally is run around.. Plus.. It has got to be better ride quality than my vx.

And the dashboards shit themselves, bushes wear out like they're going out of fashion

I had the FR TDI Ibiza, owned it for about 5 years.

Build quality of the interior wasn't great, ride quality wasn't good either - but then I'd put lowering springs on it so I probably deserve it.

Engine wise it got really neglected from my point of view, limited servicing - remap to 160ish and gave it death most of the 60k miles I put on it.

Common problems:

DMF
Injector loom (easy fix)
Console bushes (again, easy fix).

Other than that, great cars :)

Ride and interior were much worse than the equivalent Fabia I found. Good run around though if you are getting it cheap.

Whats the difference between the cupra r tdi and the cupra tdi?

I had the cupra tdi and found it shit. Brakes were good and it was quite quick but other than that it was shit.
Sounded like a tractor whilst stationary, ride comfort was awful, interior looks wank reminded me of a taxi and it rattled constantly because of the hard suspension.

Good engine, shame about the rest of the car
