i belive its the 2.3 full pressure turbo engine thats needed - dependant on year the belhousing bolts are the same as the vaux f20 / 28 iirc

those 900 turbos are worth quite a bit of money iirc, much more so than an old rusty mk3 breadvan astra

friend has a mk3 astra 1.4 , cambelt recently broke and looking into engine conversions, obviously first thought an xe but looking to do on a budget and xe engines going for 500+ now for a decent one.

then thought about doing a saab engine conversion , seen a few of these done but presume its not an easy conversion due to there not many about. got access to a unit and ramp so would make it bit easier.

if i bought a full car would there be many other bits i would need to buy? would i need custom engine mounts?

also whats the best model to look for , as there are 2.0 turbos and 2.3 turbos
