Head Gaskets on a 16v engine will cost about £250-£350. Make sure u get the head skimmed also otherwise there is a big chance it will just happen again in a few months.

8v engines, have a go yourself. Well easy on teh 8v lumps!

Guy I know who works on my car is a mechanic, if I had that problem he would probably only charge me about £50 to do the job ;)
