I've only seen them being called the 1.3 CDTi (75PS) and 1.3 CDTi (90PS). Other than that I don't know the easiest way to tell

Yeah one is 90bhp and the other 75bhp.
Must be a difference with the engine name maybe so there is a way to check.

Thats a very nice 1.7 cdti there to, I think I will go for what ever I can find first really, still insurance on the old corsa so adding a car with the same insurance group on to the policy wont do much I think.

Is shows what little I know about vaux diesels :(
I can see from there it's insurance group 13 which is the same as a 1.4 b, is pretty expensive for me since the 37% insurance increase this year alone, all the cars I want I could buy them I just can't compute in my mind paying £600-£700 insurance @ 25 with 4 yrs ncb.. I just can't give in to insurance companies, isn't like paying £400 last year for the corsa b and getting another ncb helped at all.

Yeah I wouldn't mind that really if I can find a decent once as its 70bhp and pretty cheap for insurance and tax.
Will look around. Im guessing they are 03-06 models to.

Still wondering about mileage though, I've seen a few on like 140k this seems a lot to me.
Is a nice 04 1.3 cdti for £2499 on 53k pretty tempted

The Alfa doesn't drive like a nice smooth petrol, but it's the sacrifice I made for 50MPG init

 pow lol
the above is true some people dislike how diesels can drive, i think the DTUK tuning box helps make mine perfect

Ive got an 05 corsa C SRi CDTi and love it, extremely good on fuel, got a DTUK tuning box on it so really torquey and quick for what it is, and as Ingham says above they look brilliant, the diesels dont suffer from the common gear linkage fault just the usual common shite corsa c steering racks but hey its nothing, all in all ill never regret buying mine, also ill use this oppitunity to post a pic of mine :)

I have a 1.7cdti sri and its been more or less faultless, the only item I have to change was the alternator but thats to be expected

The only real problem with mine is the steering rack

common faults with the diesel model corsa C's ?

When would you say is too much mileage as I know diesels tend to be pretty high when it comes to the miles.

When do they need a big service, is it every 40k like my B ?

Just wanting to know before I bother buying one.

1.7 CDTi are brilliant engines, very torquey and easily tuned! Plus the C SRi CDTi look brilliant.

It's 98bhp standard.

I have a mate who's also thinking about changing his Fabia (not a VRS) for one of these.

Sunz

Looking at options for new cars as my sister has wrecked my little 1.4 sport and I really don't want to even bother touching it now.

I saw the Diesel corsa C and looked on parkers, group 7 insurance, same as sxi 1.2 and my 1.4b sport is like group 13.

Tax band D for the corsa C diesel which is like £40 cheaper then my 1.4 sport.

And the Corsa C diesel does 60mpg !

So I was wondering what bad points the Corsa C 1.7 ctdi has, as so far its all been quite good.

And just general things to look out for and common faults.

I know it wouldn't be fast as it's like 64 bhp ! I guess the torque helps a bit though.

Is there any tuning boxes for them and is it really worth it ?

Thanks :)
