scrap yards rip you off, my mate goes straight to the main company that recycles cats and got stupidly high prices for them, scrapped like 20 cats all different sizes n brands n came out with £1200ish

They also have to make profit, no point buying them and not making anything:boggle:

Yea i know this but but theres making a profit and stealing you blind, genuine p38 range rover cats are worth £120 give or take, some scrap yards well tell you they are only worth anything from £15-£50

Pikeys usually go around stealing them off P38 Range Rovers.

Crawl under with 1 of they exhaust saw things and a few minutes later your walking away with 2 massive cats.

£30 for a MG ZS cat last week, £45 for a Skoda Octavia VRS cat last month. Price depends on weight, type and if genuine or pattern part.

All depends if its genuine part or an aftermarket.

I took a 206 cat in and was offered 2quid because it was a pattern part.

Anyone taken a catalytic converter to a scrap yard recently?

I've got one I'm gonna take tomorrow, just curious as to what sort of price to expect.
