It's been more a case of finding a good aftermarket one that's reliable, the one Ford sells is about 50% of the value of my car

Thats the ECP part number, they don't use normal part numbers, all the products they sell are re-labelled to their own system.

Robin, I think the Bosch one I need is different? On ECP website it gives a part number of 413590090 ?

Thats every single Ford Zetec coilpack available in Europe.

The big names from the UK would be Bosch, Hella and Delphi IMO, any of those will be decent quality.

Jim, evidently yes.

Jim, was looking for a part number but can't access Teccat from home so I'm not sure.

Am I going to end up putting a list of part numbers on here tomorrow?

Sam

Yeah it's a 2.0 Zetec.

do beru make one?

Robin

posted on 14th Dec 10 at 21:54

I work at the Cov branch, Leamington branch does daily pickups from Delphi and the interbranch transfer van goes from Leamington to Birmingham twice a day, so logistically, it's easy.

Delphi supply a lot of OE stuff to ford, not sure about coilpacks though, although I would imagine they do them, especiallly if it's a Zetec engine, as everyone under the sun makes them.

Sam

Cheers Robin, I assume that's where you work (the Leamington one)?

Do Delphi do coil packs for Fords then I take it?

Robin

Try Central Auto Supplies in Birmingham, see if they can do you a Delphi one, the branch in Leamington will be able to get it for you and get it to them.

Tell them Robin from Coventry sent you.

IvIarkgraham

bosch leads and plugs are ok so dont see why the coil packs woudnt be

Sam

Are these any good or are they the same as the usual shitty aftermarket ones that last 5 minutes?

Ford want £135 for a Motorcraft one, but on the Euro Car Parts website I see they sell Bosch ones for £54 which is obviously much less than half the price of the OE one.
