I just answer my phone and keep it subtle when I've not got the bluetooth headset with me.

Blue&Me in the Punto is fantastic. Does all the above as standard.

I'm not a fan of everyone in the car being able to listen to the conversation, much prefer the in the ear headsets.

I fitted a parrot mki9200 the other week. Seems excellent, mainly wanted it as I can plug it into my Iphone and have album art etc.

It is weird that it wants to use a standalone speaker. I just spliced it straight into the speaker feed in the ISO lead and it worked a treat. God knows why they didn't just sell it like that.

This mutes the stereo too, which is nice.

I had a bluetooth capable stereo in the past, and the only way this is any better is that the microphone can be placed where you want it. Rather than having it sat in the head unit.

But then again, if it's in the head unit it's nicely tidy and out of the way, without any of the hassle of instalation.

One of the main reasons I bought and fitted this (other than enjoying tinkering and wiring) was that I had a few specifications for what I wanted from my stereo. One was bluetooth capable, the other was direct iPod control. To get a stereo with both is very expensive. So I bought one with only iPod control and this as an add-on.

Seems pointless if you have an additional speaker etc. Sounds good for the price.

I had a Parrot kit in my Corsa. Never put a foot wrong and very simple to set up. Plus is muted the car stereo and played out through the speakers without any faffing.

I can wholeheartedly recommend one of these, Motorola T605.

£23.99 inc postage, I installed mine today and it's a cracking piece of kit.

It comes with its own speaker, which it outputs the conversation through, but I spliced mine into the n/s door speaker. Why add another speaker when your car's already full of them?!

It's also got the option for aux-input via a 3.5mm socket, or bluetooth A2DP.

I cut up my ISO cable, adding a couple of sockets, wiring it up like this:

So you literally just plug the kit in, and route the wires.
I think it looks pretty cool too:
