Christ, then I haven't a clue. I went through all of this with my C16XE, changed everything and in the end the engine was down on compression and needed a new headgasket and the head skimming.

quote: What you mean by earth strap mate? If your meaning is the fuel rail earthed, then yes and all earths are fine buddy, been through that bit! The actual engine starts, it just runs bad! Here is the video: http://www.facebook.com/v/10150278673570175

Did you put the earth strap back on where it bolts up near the fuel rail?

And Yes engine is timed spot on, its been running, just like a turd and the points are all still spot on. I've got full compression is each cylinder, and sparks in each cylinder. I have fuel in pots 2 and 3 and a shortage of fuel on pot 1 and nothing at all in 4!

I've got brand new crank and cam sensor/coilpack and i don't think that would effect injectors mate!

Sorry just read you have replaced the crank sensor.

I had similar issues with my C16XE mis-firing constantly, have you checked the crankshaft sensor as mine had started to break down causing a misfire.

quote: Yes mate, i've checked the injector loom and sorted all frail and broken wires and tested continuity in ALL wires from the injectors to ECU and EVERY wire HAS continuity so connections are good!! If it was an ECU issue, would it not come up on the paper clip test? The fault codes for ECU problems are as follows: 49 Battery supply to Engine Control Unit (ECU) 51 Engine Control Unit (ECU) 55 Engine Control Unit (ECU) fault I get none of them, just 12 which indicates initiation of diagnosis.

So it's an injector issue that you have, have you checked the condition of the loom to the injectors? Failing that ECU issue IMO

Just checked fuel rail and its free of all blockages and i did another paper clip test looking for number 55 which would indicate an ECU problem but nothing....

quote: I thought if my fuel rail was bust, it wouldn't pressurise? Plus without the injectors in the fuel rail seems to have no blockages etc... quote: Cheers for the heads up mate
