Turbo cars + too high compression = boom
I have a friend that have a pickup corsa C 1.4 8v turbocharged! this engine produce 105HP and have 12,4:1 compression ratio genuine specs. After the turbo installed the engine goes to 196HP with 0,7kg using a GT25 + IC + 50LB injectors.
Yeah you can run high compression with a turbo, a mate of mine has a Toyota Yaris with high compression pistons, 220 BHP (or there abouts) but its not running much boost, too much boost would blow it up, obviously using low comp pistons and a multi layer head gasket would lower the compression allowing him to put more boost through.
