Fibreglass will be fine, anyone that says fibre glass will crack obviously didnt do it right. I did one 2 years ago, fibreglass, then thin skim of filler over top, prime, paint, i even scuffed the bumper on a wall and it didnt crack, just took the paint off. Lasted over a year then i sold the car with it on.

Make judgements about my car after you have seen it and just in a picture thank you. And on a serious note if you want to also smooth off the number plate recese ( just thought ) some tiger seal
and an old number plate woks great or even plastic weld the plate on. After that a light skim and paint less chance od it sinking then.

filler or fibre glass is fine if you do it right and wont look bumpy unless your shit at smoothing it down. if you leave it a week it will give it time to sink ( if it will ) after that you can paint it and good as new

You can get a special bumper filler that is made especially for plastic. It's made by isopon and its called bumper fill.

Only problem is, As said before it may sink over time.

will crack of in minutes, can cut the recess of and use fiberglass matting but it isnt worth it

Fibreglass filler will be fine if you do the job properly.

how much would i be looking at?

plastic weld mate, not like normal welding.

Basically, the groove in the bumper is too deep to fill with fibreglass / filler.

You could try fibreglass matting over it, but it would sink over time.

Plastic welding is basically using something like a soldering iron & some plastic (probs from another bumper), heating it up & melting it onto your bumper, that creates a solid base, then you can sand it down & may get away with a very light skim & paint.

And you can also pay companies who specialise in plastic welding to do it for you.
