well speakin from experience it doesnt matter wot u have declared and wot u havnt if ure insurance company arnt payin out then it doesnt come into it. my ex's vectra had blacked out windows, alloys and lowered all of which he didnt declare. someone ran into him and he got it all replaced like for like and all tesco (his insurance) said was that the policy needed to be amended

see if u have a crash with undeclared mods say exhaust and suspension and the other person is to blame for the crash and their company pays for damage but no mods were damaged can ur insurance company still moan about them not being declared?? or can they cancel ur insurance??

Kerry - Your insurance company will pay for all repairs etc then claim back from other company. If they dont get their money back, thats when they take away your NCB, if they do get it all back, everyones a winner!!

Read your small print etc and quote it back to them. Hintz is right, all insurance companies state they will replace with exact or better goods.

if the accident is not ure fault then why is ure insurance replacing the exhaust anyway???? shouldnt it be other persons?

If you declared the exhaust as an aftermarket mod and they accepted, they SHOULD find an Exact copy of what you had

My insurance is replacing my exhaust but they cannot find the same one anywhere, they are saying the closest they can find is a Stainless Steel Piper, but the one I have is galvenised steel. If they replace with SS they want another £350 off me for a performance mod but surely that aint right. |
