The exhuast is covered, it has been back dated.

I think its totally wrong.

The way it works is I claim from my insurance and they claim back off the other person. Even though it was their fault my insurance company were well within their rights to cancel my policy and refuse to sort it, and I cant claim directly through the other insurance company as there is loads of red tape surrounding it.

Its a bitch and I will have to cosult them about it futher, its bang out of order I think.

All my mods are now covered and my future mods have been covered now aswell.

but they can be arsey if they want though, but ur better off declaring ur mods coz next time the accident could b ur fault

well speakin from experience it doesnt matter wot u have declared and wot u havnt if ure insurance company arnt payin out then it doesnt come into it. my ex's vectra had blacked out windows, alloys and lowered all of which he didnt declare. someone ran into him and he got it all replaced like for like and all tesco (his insurance) said was that the policy needed to be amended

see if u have a crash with undeclared mods say exhaust and suspension and the other person is to blame for the crash and their company pays for damage but no mods were damaged can ur insurance company still moan about them not being declared?? or can they cancel ur insurance??

Kerry - Your insurance company will pay for all repairs etc then claim back from other company. If they dont get their money back, thats when they take away your NCB, if they do get it all back, everyones a winner!!

Read your small print etc and quote it back to them. Hintz is right, all insurance companies state they will replace with exact or better goods.
Think they're raping you here!

if the accident is not ure fault then why is ure insurance replacing the exhaust anyway???? shouldnt it be other persons?

If you declared the exhaust as an aftermarket mod and they accepted, they SHOULD find an Exact copy of what you had

Or replace it with something better

Otherwise it dont work out does it?

Look at it an easier way.......

You go into Argos and buy a 32" TV, you take it home, and its fúcked......When you go back to the shop they dont say "Sorry sir, we dont have any more 32" Tv's left........But we do have this 28" tv......But you will have to pay us an extra £300"

See what i mean? Consult a solicitor

My insurance is replacing my exhaust but they cannot find the same one anywhere, they are saying the closest they can find is a Stainless Steel Piper, but the one I have is galvenised steel. If they replace with SS they want another £350 off me for a performance mod but surely that aint right.

I wasn't at fault in this accident so surely the other insurance company should stump up my increased premium.
