My very crude diagram:

Right.. put the belt around all pulley, then you see the gap between the bottom pulley and your alternator (in your last pick) you need to pull the belt through there and over to the tensioner.

can you take a pic please? as iv had the belt right off and cant remember at all how it goes due to putting a new engine in :)

Seriously it can only go on one way round :)

Ribbed side goes around all pulleys then then pull the slack back on its self so it goes flat side around the tensioner.. Its normally easier to fit the belt to the PAS/AC + tensioner then then slacken the tensioner and pull it over the alternator.

cheers mate so does the belt need to go down the radiator side of the engine mount? thanks lee :)

Yeah if you've got AC + PAS you need to remove one side of the mount, its easier to put a jack under the engine (use a piece of wood to spread the load) and remove the side that bolts to the chassis leg.

The belt goes flat side onto the tensioner, there is only one way round it can go :)
