If, like me, you have bought a Corsa with a sunroof, then decided to strip & cage it, only to realise the cage wont fit with the sunroof (and the sunroof weighs a ton anyway), i may have a solution for you.

I am currently speaking to Mike from Performance Trim and, if like me, you can't stretch to a full carbon roof (i wish!), we may have a solution.

Basically, its a Carbon plate that goes on the roof, it overhangs the sunroof hole by 3cm all round, so plenty of room to bond it to the roof.

It will have a cross member running from corner to corner to create a X, this should help reduce flex alot.

So basically, on the outside, its a shiney caron plate, with rounded edges, on the inside it will have the cross member.

Mike assures me that a strong adhesive like stickoflex will be strong enough to hold the plate down, but i may use rivets for extra security.

At the moment, its looking like it will be roughly around £100+vat, but that isnt a final price just yet, plus postage on top.

Just seeing if anyone else may be interested, as ive seen a few people asking for a solution for this now, perhaps even a discount could be offered if a few are interested, but i am not giving any gaurentees.

Looking at a couple of weeks for the product to be made.

Hoping to speak to Mike again on Monday.

Cheers, hope some people find this of use.

Mark.
