i said in the cav never mentioned the omega or vectra, theres loads of differences when there in the vectras and omegas, inlets, exhaust manifolds sump, looms

X25XE has a different inlet depending on which car it came in.Although some later Calibras had the X25XE,they still looked like a C25XE.

C25XE didnt come in any omegas or vectras.

The reason the C25XE is refered to as the "redtop" is because the early model had a red strip on the engine cover.The later "ecotec" badged C25XE with the black strip on the engine cover is exactly the same,but has an immobiliser built into the ecu/loom.

v6 redtop is the c25xe which came in the early cavs, which was then replaced with the eco tec x25xe insure what the difference is apart from one has the red vaux v6 cover and the other has a black vaux eco tec cover
