Like robin said, and going back to fords, there are loads and loads of specalists still, and parts, despite possible cosworth tax, are still cheap

A nice clean Escort Cosworth with minimal mods in a good colour should return a good resale, would be fun for the weekends too!!

For any car to be a investment it really needs to be bought with very low miles. THen locked away in a carcoon for 10 years plus.

Yes obviously it's not guarenteed that they'll go up in value - I'm not buying one as a investment but would be nice to find something I liked that would hold it's value well. Will have a look at the old fords now cheers robin.

An old Ford, something like an Escort RS2000/Mexico/RS1800/RS1600/Twin Cam, Lotus Cortina, would be my choice for an investment.

I'm looking at selling my car and having a run of the mill a3 tdi or golf tdi or similar for work (15k miles a year) and then getting something a bit flasher and fun for the weekend. Would get very light use possibly only 2 or 3k miles a year - I'm willing to spned up to £15,000 on it. |
