try putting a gt35 turbo on it?

ShEp

block the standard issue dv on the turbo and as rob says, use a proper vacuum and you will have no problems

RobHayes

where have you plumbed the vacuum for the dump valve into?
as long as its a 'true' vacuum there 'shouldnt' be any issues, but I'd definately try taking it off

They are meant for the car as far as you get the right shaped T-piece and the right length of piping to fit it, thats about as far as they'll go with testing it.

Get it off and use the OE kit.

But the DV will work on the car for a while. Just like VAG 1.8 20v T engines. Takes time for faults to show on them as the ECU gets fed up

Only with atmospheric ones, even people hate the Forge split r valve that is supposed to be designed for this issue. A decent recirc valve is better :).

I have had this problem on both corsa VXR's that customers have brought to us for dump valves to be fitted.

both suffered lack of power and were very flat, removed the chav valves and reset the ecu usng the diagnostic equipment and all was fine. (neither have been back in so I assume the problem went away)

Apparently it was tried on their VXR. The Corsa is being taken back to the garage to have a health test, then the mods are being sent back!
