Originally posted by iceman its just a lightweight version and its 21k
its not lightweight? Its £17k as far as i was aware? Dry, yes, the cars are fine, TC is needed to be on though on the road or it spins up the lower gears. Crappy boot space  No cup holders. Mofos. Getting averages of 27mpg. 300bhp tuning is a stage 3 at least. Thats full exhaust system, remap, IC upgrade. 6 pots arn't needed, the 4 pot upgrade from VXR Center is fine. You can spend £21k on an astra just speccing it up, Sat Nav, 19"s, exhaust system etc.. Putting 300bhp down in the wet though will be a task. Don't get Conti 3's (the "claimed" better and upgraded tyres from the Conti 2's that come standard) they are really really really bad. I wouldn't buy another new Astra VXR, 2nd hand yes, but not a new one.
