its not as simple of just removing things when you crash. For example if you hit a tree and are injured badly and theres no real reasonable reason why this happened, the police will just get the car recovered so their specialist people can look at it....giving you no time to change stuff

+ your arms may have to be removed after the crash

ok, thanks alot, i will leave the exhaust off, and probably take the air filter off at some point in the near future.

Peace.

it will be void with that filter anyway.

believe it or believe it not, but my mate works at a accident repair place and the direct line assesors are the worst out there for voiding insurance.

on more than one occasion Direct Line policies have been voided on such minor things as after market gear knobs and de-badged boot panels.

so i would say they will try and void it on anything anyway in your case.

i would just keep it bog standard for now, get your years no claims and some money from the christmas period etc and save for a better car or start modding yours then

Well, i have a maxpower airfilter, but it's such a piece of shit i wasnt counting it.. lol. they dont know about the air filter, but i figured if i crash i can change that, but if i crash with a new backbox it may get bent up and i wont be able to put the other one back on.

if its only 6 months i would put it on if it was only a back box just keep the standard just incase you do crash an jus put it back on before insurance come to see your car

well, i say it's an insurance question.. it's kinda just me being inpatient.
I have this exhaust sat in the boot of my car, and i really want to put it on my car.. but Direct line wont let me put it on until im 25, so i have to wait 6 months until my insurance runs out.
Is it worth just putting it on anyway? or is it a truely terrible idea? I assume it would just totally invalidate my insurance, so if i crashed i would not be covered and get buggered from every orifice... any help would be appreciated? basically.. is it worth whapping the exhaust on without telling insurance, or waiting..

Cheers.
Rich.
