He's basically taking the paint to the next level, not 'cleaning a clean car' as some seem to think on here. Factory paint can be brought up so much better. A lot of the time, a dealer will clear the protective deliver gel/lacquer and then attack it with a mop. This will leave marring, swirls and can actually be more harm than good. Factory paint will also have microscopic orange peal in it, haze and all sorts of imperfections. The high end Zymol stuff is expensive, but it's got a lifetime refill on it. Since it only tends to get purchased by top end detailers who charge an arm and a leg for a full detail, they get through the stuff, so it's a wise investment for them. It could be seen as being sad, but each to their own. No different really than someone wanting to plough £30,000 into a 1.2 Corsa. :) [/quote]
