Removing paint and smoothing some seam sealer down, thats what I'm doing and this can be down with a wire brush attachment.

Love you

argghhh... make up your mind

one minute smooting, next removing paint!

Removing Paint - Wire Brush
Smoothing - Flapper Disc

smoothing is best done with flapper wheel, but just watch you dont cut into shit thin nova metal. Why on earth are you smoothing and bare metaling your chassis legs?

I used them when I was a fabricator and never gouged in to the steel, as long as you hold them flat on to the material what you take off is dependant on how hard you press.

Yeah thats perfect for what I want to do, I don't want to go deep just remove paint and smooth something out.

I used a wire brush attachment to get the paint off alloys etc.

I'd go for a flapper disc as you'll be less likely to gouge.

Prob less damage to be done with the wire brush attachments, and easier to get into noocks and cranies

See I knew it would be worth asking before I started, was going to use a grinding wheel but thought it would be a bit drastic.

Thank you Adam

Just inside chassis legs, pretty much the whole engine bay, removing old paint putting new on.
